Arrest made in Lake City liquor store robbery

A man suspected in the shooting and killing of a Lake City liquor store owner in April was arrested in Jacksonville this past Friday. Lake City Public Information Ofc. Steve Shaw says the man arrested has been identified as James Leonard Johnson of Lake City.

Two men were involved with the robbery, and Shaw said the second suspect is still at large.

Shaw said there is still much being done to apprehend the missing suspect.

Police issued a warrned for the arrest of Ernest L. Grandison, he added.

Shaw said that people should not hesistate to call authorities or 9-1-1 if Grandison is found.

Johnson is being held at the Duval County Jail as of Sunday and will be brought back to Columbia County to face murder and robbery charges.
