Health Department facing more cuts

The Health Department found itself in financial problems late last year, and then-director Jean Munden was let go. Since then, Myers says the clinic has eliminated weekend hours and taken other steps to try and save money, while maintaining as many services as it can.

He says they will continue to look at what other areas can be cut to keep the department functioning on pace with the budget the state legislature has to offer.
