Discovery of an arsenic-eating bacterium has the science world buzzing

The journal “Science” is reporting the discovery of a new strain of bacteria that feeds off of the natural element arsenic. This has scientists excited because prior to this bacteria, there was no other known way to get rid of arsenic, which can be a health hazard if it ends up in drinking https://blog.nextroll.com/author/nohana/ water or wood products.
