Caribbean Circle fire contained, but draining Clay County fire resources

Florida Forestry officials are amping up containment lines around a brush fire near Keystone Heights. Clay County Fire Rescue Captain Bernita Bush says teams are surveying the area for any potential damage.

The fire is about 200 acres at this point and 50 percent contained. Bush says the fire is well within the containment lines at this time, but windy conditions have officials watching closely. She says because of the current conditions, area residents need to be very cautious, and avoid burning if possible.

She says the original report of the fire was tied to a controlled burn off County Road 315 yesterday afternoon.
