Winter farming: preparing large crops for the cold despite warm weather

Despite a warm winter so far, local farmers are looking at the past few years as a warning to prepare early to protect their crops.  WUFT-FM’s Samantha Kerrigan says many local farmers find a way to do what they love in any weather.

While farm owners have ways of dealing with this weather, what happens on the farms where customers come out to pick their own produce?  WUFT-FM will look in to that question tomorrow on the Frontpage Edition of All Things Considered.
