Gainesville police say the DNA of an accused rapist does not connect to Gainesville assault under investigation. Gainesville Police Department Corporal Angelina Valuri says Michael Frye's DNA was not discovered on any evidence submitted to the crime lab.

Frye is charged in four Marion County sexual attacks that occurred in the same time frame as the Gainesville case. Frye is currently labeled a high-security inmate at the Marion County Jail.
