Child abuse surpasses all seasons

Despite the holiday cheer that begins to set in, families can also see building stress this time of year.  WUFT-FM's Sarah Samuels says local advocates see a spike in child abuse during the holidays.

Children's Home Society of Florida Executive Director Jennifer Anchors says abuse does not have to be physical to leave lasting damage on a child.  Marion County Children's Advocacy Center Executive Director Dawn Westgate says behavioral signs, in addition to marks or bruises, can tip off family members or concerned citizens.
