Abandoned Property Possibly Becoming Community Center

The Chamber of Hispanic Affairs is hoping to turn one of three abandoned properties in Gainesville into their first headquarters. The organization, which assists newcomers to Gainesville adjust, has existed for almost 14 years, but a property like the one at SE 13th Place and SE 19th Terrace in the Lincoln Estates neighborhood would be its first home base.
