Thousands of people gathered in downtown Gainesville last weekend to partake in the 36th Annual Downtown Festival & Art Show.

The festival featured unique work from artists who came from around the nation to display their material. Painters, ceramicists, sculptors and an abundance of other creative artists were present for the show.

A variety of food vendors filled the streets. Nonprofit organizations also spread awareness about their charities. The festival included activities for children such as live shows and painting.
