North Central Florida has a new "hot spot" for live acoustic performances and art exhibits. The Shake Rag Art & Culture Centerin Melrose not only showcases the original work of local artists, but a new concert series is drawing in audiences from around the state to the unique, historical building. As Florida's 89.1, WUFT-FM's Donna Green-Townsend reports, this Saturday night the center is bringing folk and bluegrass legendary performer, Peter Rowan to the stage. An historic church in the small community of Melrose just east of Gainesville is becoming "the" place to go for art exhibits, dances and concerts in North Central Florida.
