Hoping the new year will continue boosting employment

With national figures on unemployment showing significant drops, local job placement agencies are hoping to bring in the New Year with a renewed hope. Workforce Connection CEO Rusty Skinner says small businesses are leading the way in brining jobs to Marion, Levy and Citrus counties. He says this year is ending on an upswing with employment, and they are hopeful that trend will carry in to the future.

A business incubator is also in the works in Marion County, something Skinner thinks will be a great opportunity for job growth.  He says sometimes the projects don't go quite as planned, but what Workforce is partnering in right now looks promising.
