The University of Florida's Freshman Leadership Council collected donations for the Alachua County Humane Society at the Yappy Holidays event Thursday at Plaza of the Americas on campus.
Yappy Holidays gathered people and dogs together to donate supplies for the animals currently at the shelter. The event featured opportunities for attendees to make dog toys and food for volunteers.
Not only did humans show up for the event, but several dogs did as well, providing extra excitement for all.
The collected donations will be given to the Humane Society so that the animals at their shelters will be able to get through the winter.
