Texas A&M was one of a handful of college football programs whose season openers were postponed due to Hurricane Isaac. But the Aggies are preparing to make history Saturday, as they host their Southeastern Conference debut against the Florida Gators.
As Will Muschamp and his team embark for College Station, Texas, Gators Clubs across the Lone Star State are extending their own version of game day hospitality to Florida fans making the trip.
Michael Archer, the president of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Gator Club, is leading a group of about 60 UF fans busing three hours south to College Station to tailgate with the University of Florida Alumni Association outside Texas A&M's Kyle Field.
Archer added that he expects to see a spirited representation from fans coming from other Texas-based Gator clubs.
Kickoff for the game is at 3:30 p.m. EST. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
