The Levy County Courthouse in Bronson was evacuated this morning after receiving a bomb threat.
The Levy County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 8:16 a.m. that there was a bomb in the courthouse and that it could explode, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
The building was evacuated, and deputies from the sheriff's office searched the outside of the building.
The bomb squad from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office was called to help search the inside of the building, the release said.
No further information was released, but WUFT will provide updates as they become available.
