Students cleared after bomb threat at Gainesville High School

Gainesville Police are sweeping Gainesville High School after fielding a bomb threat called in to the department.  Alachua County Public Schools Spokeswoman Jackie Johnson says all the students have been evacuated, and school officials are just waiting for the "all clear".

She says the district does not deal with bomb threats very often, and historically these threats often turn out to be hoaxes.  Despite that, Johnson says as soon as the school receives a threat like this, law enforcement evacuates students.
