Penn State scandal brings attention to the issue of child sexual abuse

The Penn State sexual abuse accusations are raising local concerns for parents and children. Alachua County Child Advocacy CEO and President Sherry Kitchens says this case brings the issue of child sexual abuse to the forefront.

Kitchens says while every child does not react the same, there are signs and symptoms of sexual abuse, parents should be aware of.

If parents believe their child has been sexually abused, Kitchen says it's important to not ovewhelm their children and reach out to organizations that can help.
