Nicknamed the “Greatest Generation,” American World War II veterans are getting older and older. In fact, experts estimate about 1,000 of them die each day. And as these men and women pass away, their great American stories often perish with them. Vic Micolucci spoke with a North Central Florida veteran who wants to pass on his story…and it’s a very bittersweet one.
