Sustainability and energy conservation were highlighted this morning at the Alachua County Health Department. The Second Annual Alachua County Energy Conservation Day focused on achieving a sustainable workplace and energy savings. Alachua County Manager Randall Reid says energy conservation is the critical issue of our day.
“All that is transferrable to the individual household so if people change their personal lives, and if people then change the lives of [those] within their own homes, then we can change our community. The nation will be changed.”
Reid adds Alachua County is an energy conservation leader in the state of Florida.
