Evergreen Cemetery caretaker preserves Gainesville’s past

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Gainesville’s Evergreen Cemetery is home to thousands of graves spread across nearly 60 acres and one woman who has made it her mission to document them all.

WUFT’s Sara-James Ranta visited the cemetery to meet its caretaker, who has spent years digitally preserving the stories and history behind each resting place.
