Boy, 9, Dies In Ocala National Forest House Fire

OCALA, Fla. (AP) — A 9-year-old boy is dead after a fire broke out at his mobile home in the Ocala National Forest.

Marion County Fire Rescue spokesman James Lucas told the Ocala Star-Banner (http://bit.ly/1MQijx8 ) the boy's father was able to get one child out safely just before 11 p.m. Wednesday. But he couldn't get to the 9-year-old boy.

When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.

Authorities aren't sure what caused the fire. An investigation is underway.

The name of the child has not been released.
