Man who brought dead body to hospital released

The Gainesville Police Department says a man who was being held at Shands Hospital after dropping off a dead body has now been released. Salvatore Campagna brought the body of Eva Clark to the hosptial on Sunday afternoon and GPD decided to hold Campagna there overnight. GPD spokesman Ben Tobias says detectives need more information before they can move along with the case

Investigators will be keeping close tabs on Campagna until the details of the autopsy and searches of the car in which he brought the body are complete.
