Gainesville city staff has completed contract negotiations on a plan to install red light cameras, and city commissioners will see the draft soon. The commission is scheduled to discuss the current proposal this week. City Attorney Marion Radson once the program is approved it would still be a few months before the cameras are installed, and even longer before the city starts giving tickets.
