Poe takes Gainesville runoff, looks to the future

With almost 14% of Gainesville voters registering their vote in the At-Large 1 runoff race last night, Lauren Poe came out with a majority.  He says the voters had confidence in his past experience, and he will use that to carry him forward.

Poe received more than 56% of the vote.  Nathan Skop won a little more than 43% of voters.  He campaigned as the candidate for change and says if the city doesn’t get that change it could lead to problems in the near future.

Poe says he will be an advocate for issues he believes in, but no action can be done without the continued interest of the community and support of other commission members.
