Maria Martinez graduated in 2007 from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She also minored in communication studies and business administration
In August 2007, Martinez began working for CooperKatz and Co., where she was a manager of client services for seven years. She then changed employment to MakeSpace, where she was director of communication. Martinez next worked for JPMorgan Chase, where she is currently vice president and communications manager in the New York City area.
Martinez is of Mexican heritage and is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian. People who have worked with her highly praise her. On LinkedIn, she was described as “a champion at creating marketing concepts, building brand relations and creating broadcast/digital & print content.” And a former manager said that Martinez “brings passion, enthusiasm, experience and creativity to any project.
