(Photo credit: My Smokeless / Flickr) County Commissioner Robert Hutchinson is drafting an ordinance to place regulations on e-cigarettes, a nicotine-vapor-based alternative to tobacco cigarettes. The regulations would include a ban on the sale of e-cigarettes to minors.

The Alachua County Commission voted Tuesday to end discussions with the third candidate they offered the county manager position, and to extend an offer to the deputy manager currently serving the county.

Stockton Whitten from Brevard County sent an email to Alachua County Commissioners Monday saying he had chosen to stay in his current job there as deputy county manager.
