Armed robbers hold up Bank of America on Newberry Road

An area bank was robbed at gunpoint this morning. The Bank of America on Newberry Road in Gainesville was robbed at around 9:30 a.m.  Alachua County Sheriff’s Spokesperson Art Forgey says the the robbers were armed with a shotgun. School grades released by the state show Alachua County High Schools performing very well.
