Dixie County family mourns loss of their grandson

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is continuing to investigate the death of Bryan Austen Osteen. Osteen was killed in a hunting accident November eighth while attempting to climb down an 11-foot ladder stand. Dixie county middle-schooler killed in hunting accident

A 12-year old Dixie County boy is dead following an apparent hunting accident yesterday. The Dixie County Sheriff’s office says Bryan Austin Osteen was hunting south of Cross City with his grandfather when Osteen’s shotgun fired, striking his torso.
