As part of the University of Florida's goal to promote safe bicycling and walking on campus, a new shared use path is being constructed.

Seventy-four acres of land in Archer will be used as the site for a new agriculture facility. The facility will offer recreational activities for Archer residents and surrounding areas as well as wildlife conservation.

A trail for pedestrians and cyclists at the University of Florida that will connect to the bicycle trail at Archer Road is set to be put in near the end of 2014.
