Bert the Bluff Oak’s Fate Revealed

Bert The Bluff Oak, a heritage tree on the University of Florida's campus, will be torn down sometime in the next week, according to Steve Orlando, senior director of UF media relations. UF has settled on design that will remove 36 trees in the area, including five other heritage trees.

Investigation Clears UF ZBT Members

Investigations found no evidence that UF's Zeta Beta Tau chapter mistreated wounded veterans in Panama City Beach, according to a UF report released Thursday. A hearing later this summer will determine whether the chapter will be eligible to reopen, according to UF spokesperson Janine Sikes.
