Florida's John Egbunu was 4-4 from the free throw line in the final minute of the Gators matchup against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, playing a key role in helping the team emerge victorious. Florida is now 4-2 in SEC play, and 12-6 overall.

Oak Hall School's first-year football coach capped off the season with a 7-2 record, earning him Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year honors. Matthew DiBernardo guided the Eagles to a winning record in his first year at the helm after taking over the team that went a combined 2-17 in its previous two seasons.

Five players finished in double figures for the Gators in Saturday's victory over the Georgia Bulldogs. The team is now 1-0 in conference play, and 9-4 overall.

The Gators struggled on both sides of the ball in Saturday's Citrus Bowl, while the Michigan Wolverines were firing on all cylinders. Once the Wolverines found themselves in a rhythm early, they didn't look back.

University of Florida football season-ticket prices will increase next year for the first time since 2011, the UAA announced at a meeting Thursday. Board members also discussed the construction updates of the O'Connell Center and Otis Hawkins Center.

Because student tickets for the SEC Championship game were unavailable for resale, many students lost their money.

The Florida Gators fell to the No. 2 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game Saturday evening. The Gators exceeded expectations this season though, finishing with a 10-3 overall record.
