After serving as the chair of the Florida Democratic Party for two years, Rod Smith is not seeking re-election when his term ends in January.

Although Florida's votes won't affect the outcome of the presidential election, it still has many people questioning the legitimacy of the state's voting process.

The election season may be over, but there are still ways that Floridians can make their voices heard in Washington, D.C.

The race for a spot in the U.S. House of Representatives between incumbent Rep. Allen West (R) and Democrat Patrick Murphy remained too close to call Wednesday.

Alachua County voters rejected the "Fix our Roads" tax by 67 percent. In Marion County, voters decided against a hospital tax that would increase property taxes to fund Munroe Regional Medical Center.

In Tuesday night's election, President Barack Obama was said to have won re-election. Florida is the only state that has not been called, but politicians from the state like Bill Nelson and Corrine Brown have been named the winners of their respective races.
