Cats cared for, may be ready for adoption in Alachua County

There are around 635 cats who made it out alive of an Alachua County sanctuary, in what authorities said was the largest cat hoarding case in the United States. In June almost 700 cats were seized from Haven Acres Cat Sanctuary in High Springs Forida, they are now being sheltered at warehouses in Gainesville. And as Florida's 89.1 WUFT-FM'S Jessica Becerra reports it's hoped they will be adopted soon.

Panther hit and killed in South Florida

A 1-year-old male panther was found dead in the Immokalee area on Monday after being hit by a vehicle. Mark Lotz, a panther biologist from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, says this occurance is fairly common.
