An annual census finds that more Alachua County homeless are finding their way to shelters. While homeless populations remained relatively stable, 11 percent more were found in more stable living situations.

Alachua County joined Florida's 66 other counties in issuing same-sex marriage licenses Tuesday. Twenty-eight same-sex marriage licenses were issued, and 14 ceremonies were performed at the courthouse by day's end.
