University of Florida football season-ticket prices will increase next year for the first time since 2011, the UAA announced at a meeting Thursday. Board members also discussed the construction updates of the O'Connell Center and Otis Hawkins Center.

Lynn Coullias, a resident of Hague, Florida, wants to rescue the forgotten Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Coullias contacted the Alachua County Commission get access to clean up the cemetery because it is being maintained. She has not been granted permission to do so because the land where the cemetery is located is privately owned.

At the Nov. 19 city commission meeting, a proposal was made to move the chief of police from answering to the city manager to answering directly to the city commission. City Commissioner Craig Carter said the police chief is presently under the city manager, and if the commission were to move him to a charter officer, would answer to the commission directly.
