• WUFT News: Labor union leaders speak out against a bill giving the state control over GRU. "The bill was drafted by Rep. Chuck Clemons (R-Newberry), who will present it to legislators on Friday. Clemons cited issues with customer representation in local government as well as the city’s debt for drafting the bill."

• Florida Politics: Federal appeals court allows injunction against ‘Stop WOKE Act’ to stand. "Florida’s attempts to crack down on instruction regarding race and gender issues will have to remain on pause — at least for now — according to a federal court ruling against Gov. Ron DeSantis."

• WGCU-Fort Myers: Some on Pine Island still live in a post-Ian disaster zone. "Crews still are rebuilding the electrical grid, and some people are living in trailers or campers. Others on the island are focused on rebuilding and regaining some sense of normal."
