The University of Florida Environmental Horticulture Club is holding its 26th Annual Poinsettia Sale. The club carries over 4,000 plants and offers a variety of more than 40 types of poinsettias in its greenhouse.

Located at the greenhouse behind Fifield Hall at 2475 Memorial Road on UF's campus, the sale is held for the general public on Dec. 8 and 9.

On Dec. 8, poinsettias will only be available for sales made by appointment on their website. The sale on Dec. 9 is open to all customers – no appointment needed.

With record sales last year, the Environmental Horticulture Club (ENH) is trying to match the success. The greenhouse is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days of the sale.

The UF Environmental Club has helpful tips to keep your poinsettia healthy. Techniques like keeping the plant watered and making sure it gets enough sunlight can help ensure your plant has a long life. According to UF ENH, poinsettias are able to last for years and can even grow into trees.
