Bronson Resident Finds Trash Dumping Ground Close To Her Home

A trash dumping ground has been discovered by a Bronson resident behind State Road 24.

Stephanie Buxton moved behind the Bronson Speedway four months ago, and the roads that lead to her house are lined with trash. Couches, dog food, broken mirrors and a baby stroller are just some of the items that have been dumped on the side of the road.

The Levy County Sheriff's Office says that this issue does not have a quick fix.

"If we cannot identify the party that is responsible for dumping it, we're kind of at a loss," Lt. Scott Tummond said. "Our investigation stalls at that point."

The Sheriff's Office said one good way to gather the evidence and leads needed to stop illegal dumping for homeowners or neighbors is to invest in surveillance cameras.
