Annual Fundraising Event Supporting Local Non-Profits Raises Close To $850,000

The Community Foundation of North Central Florida came together for a day of giving. The annual 24-hour “Amazing Give” event, which began March 29 and ended the day after at 6 p.m. Thursday, raised funds for 75 local non-profit organizations, such as the local domestic violence shelter. “It costs $65 per night for someone to stay in our shelter,” said Director of Giving John Thomas.  By the end of the event, donations of about $850,000 had been collected, according to their website.
