Unlike most gyms, Visionary CrossFit is a sanctuary for the un-buff – metaphorically speaking.
Jesus Martinez started Visionary with a goal to lead the art scene and provide a service of physical transformation for the people of Gainesville. Members exercise indoors and out, while immersed in an art, music and cultural setting. The box, as CrossFit gyms are called, is open Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 716 N Main St.
The gallery gym is part of the monthly Artwalk Gainesville, a self-guided tour of galleries and art related business. Artwalk takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. at more than 10 venues in downtown Gainesville. Those enjoying Artwalk at Visionary CrossFit can experience curated music and art in three gallery spaces, including one with 3D black light paintings.
Martinez continues to work toward leading the local art scene, while providing a place of healing and life-changing fitness.
