ACSO Deputy Arrested For Sexual Assault Of A Minor

An Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was arrested Thursday on a warrant for sexual assault on a victim between the ages 12 and 18.

Donald A. Dixon was suspended after allegations came to light earlier in the week, and was terminated upon his arrest, according to a press release from ACSO.

He had been working as a detention deputy at the Alachua County Department of the Jail since June 2015.

The 34-year-old was also charged with use of a computer to seduce, solicit or lure a child. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.

His bond was set at $350,000.
