Alachua County voters are going to the polls

Today is the Florida primary, and those who have not already voted by early vote or mail will have to go in person to their assigned precinct to cast their ballot.

WUFT’s Alyssa Bethencourt reported from the Santa Fe College voting precinct 25, and said voter turnout was steady. Alachua County is expecting a 10 percent to 15 percent boost in primary votes compared to 2012.

Polls opened today at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m. WUFT-FM will have a wrap-up of the election after polls close tonight.
