No one was injured during the fire on Monday at Oakbrook of Gainesville Condominiums.

At 6:36 a.m. Gainesville Fire Rescue was notified of an apartment fire behind the Adam’s Rib Company on Southwest 13th Street. Crews found the fire on the third floor in the rear of the apartment complex, according to a GFR press release.

The balconies had been removed due to construction, making access to the fire difficult and work on the third floor dangerous. According to the press release, the fire is currently under investigation, and renters have been evacuated from the apartments that are under construction until the building department can declare them safe.
