Town of Tioga Hosts Annual Winter Fine Arts Fair

The Winter Fine Arts Fair is the only night time art fair in the region, and it showcases work of talented artists from Gainesville and nearby towns.
The Winter Fine Arts Fair is the only night time art fair in the region, and it showcases work of talented artists from Gainesville and nearby towns.

The Winter Fine Arts Fair, sponsored annually by the Gainesville Fine Arts Association, opened its ninth edition to the public Friday night, March 4, 2016, at Tioga Town Center. It featured about 120 artists exhibiting their work in booths along the walkways of Tioga Town Center in Newberry.

Artists across different mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, quilting, mixed media, glass and wood showcased their work through Sunday.

The fair had entertainment events scheduled every day from Friday through Sunday. On Friday evening, The Dancing Melodies, a Gainesville-based band, took the stage performing a variety of musical styles ranging from dance to blues.
