On Sunday, a hunter reported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office that he had found human bones in the north edge of Silver Springs Shores.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, MCSO major crimes detectives and evidence technicians, along with the medical examiner’s office, responded to the area to process the scene and conduct an investigation.
According to the sheriff’s office, detectives are in the preliminary stages of their investigation and will release more information once it is available.
