Gainesville Still Working to Reduce Underage Drinking

Ninety-one percent of alcohol-related arrestees were underage at a handful of Gainesville night clubs and bars from 2014 to early 2015.

Gainesville police proposed on Monday a way of reducing those numbers at the city’s public safety committee meeting. The proposal would force bars to take more responsibility for preventing underage drinking.

Capt. Anthony Ferrara and Lt. Michael Schibuola spoke for the Gainesville Police Department.
