Ocala Mayor Kent Guinn denied any affiliation with the Ku Klux Klan today at a press conference held to address the claims on his involvement.
The “hacktivist” group Anonymous published a list of members of the KKK on pastebin.com. Kent Guinn is one of nine public officials named.
Guinn said he has no idea how his name got on the list and wants to reassure Ocala residents the claim is not true.
“This is an absolute lie. It's not true. I'm not a member of the KKK, never have been, never will be. I despise what they stand for,” he said.
