Ninety Miles Project
Critically-acclaimed album “Ninety Miles” will be featured at University Auditorium on the University of Florida campus. It was named one of the Best Jazz albums of 2011 by NPR.
The album was recorded in one week in Havana, Cuba, by vibist Stefon Harris, saxophonist David Sánchez and trumpeter Christian Scott.
When: Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: University Auditorium, Gainesville
Admission: $15-$25, and $10 for UF students
Artwalk Gainesville
Artwalk Gainesville is a free monthly self-guided tour that combines exciting visual art, live performance and events in downtown Gainesville. It’s held the last Friday of each month. Many local galleries, eateries and businesses participate.
The Artwalk headquarters tent is located at the corner of Bo Diddley Plaza next to the Lunch Box. Pick up a map of participating venues and experience the creativity of the Gainesville community.
When: Friday, April 26 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Spring Native Plant Sale
Take advantage of the area’s largest offering of native plants at Morningside Nature Center. The sale features free expert plant advice, a park-a-plant service that allows customers to shop hands-free, a naturalist-led wildflower walk and music.
Only cash and checks are accepted.
When: Saturday, April 27 from 8:30 to 12:30 p.m.
