  • Marion County Sheriff’s deputies are still searching for Patrick Dennis Smith, who has been missing since 1 a.m. Wednesday. Smith, who left a note indicating he no longer wanted to live, is nearly blind and has been diagnosed as bipolar.
  • Ashley Eucker, a fifth-grade teacher at Plantation Oaks Elementary School, was arrested after investigators said someone found cocaine in her purse.
  • An Emerson College student created a T-shirt with the words “Boston Strong” written on them following the Boston Marathon bombings. More than 35,000 shirts have been sold and he’s raised more than $500,000.
  • Human remains were found at the Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport by TSA agents.
