  • The Freedom Community Center at Kanapaha Veteran Memorial Park located at 7400 SW 41 Place will host the first Veteran Informational and Referral Day on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • The Supreme Court will continue to discuss whether the federal government can deny same-sex couples benefits in states where same-sex marriage is legal.
  • Tom Duffy opened the first independent living facility for gay men in South Florida. The facility is located in Wilton Manors near Fort Lauderdale.
  • The mother and aunt of Demarquise Elkins, a Georgia teen accused of shooting 1-year-old Antonio Santiago, were arrested Tuesday for allegedly giving false statements to authorities.
  • Nearly a month later after Abdul Kader Mullah, the assistant secretary general of the Jamaat-e-Islami, received a life sentence, protests still continue in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
