Florida’s Secretary of State turns in resignation

Florida Secretary of State Kurt Browning resigned today. Browning will continue in his position until February 17th, after Florida’s Presidential Preference primary on January 31st. Browning cited wanting to spend more time with his family as his reason for resigning. Governor Scott commended Browning’s dedication, saying Browning was instrumental in implementing the state’s new election laws.
